Soldier

You a soldier in the war against yourself.
What side are you on? Are there sides? What are you fighting for?
No one knows. Never will.
The battle occurs everyday although it is hard to tell.
Yes getting shot down by no. The occasional “Reality Strike”.
Life blowing up in your face, injuring both you and sometimes those around you.
Constantly using tactics unfathomable to anyone but yourself.
Some people cannot take the heat. They simply drive themselves insane.
But insanity is blood in the water.
You’re a soldier in the war against yourself.
Knowledge has gotten you stronger. Made you aware. Made you better.
But it is never enough. The battle will rage on forever, claiming countless casualties.
But victory, only to be claimed at the highest price. Only claimed in one battlefield.
The battlefield six feet under.
